What is SPARK?
SPARK = Sovereignty • Privacy • Access • Republic • Knowledge
SPARK is Datum Republic's youth internship and fellowship initiative designed to nurture the next generation of ethical, data-driven changemakers. Focused on real-world problem-solving, SPARK introduces participants to health data interoperability, innovation, data rights, and digital ethics - all while working on projects that make a real impact.
Whether you're interested in public health, AI, design, or social change, SPARK equips you with tools to explore it - and the mentorship to go further.
Why SPARK Exists
At Datum Republic, we believe data should serve people — not the other way around. The SPARK Program exists to:
-
Elevate youth voices in tech and public health
-
Promote ethical, privacy-centered innovation
-
Empower communities to lead their own data futures
-
Train young professionals to think critically, act boldly, and lead with compassion
SPARK is more than a learning experience — it’s a movement to reclaim how we design the future of care.
