FROM THE FOUNDER

A Note from Natacha

​

I've lived healthcare from every angle — as a patient, a care coordinator, and a systems leader. That combination of lived experience and technical fluency grounds every strategy, framework, and initiative that comes out of Datum Republic.

​

Over 25 years leading health data initiatives across New York City, I pioneered the city's first informed consent framework for health information sharing, built data-driven programs recognized by the White House, and proved that equitable, patient-centered care delivery is achievable at scale.

​

I've used data and systems thinking to improve care for people living with HIV, to treat Hepatitis C in the primary care setting, and to redesign referral networks to be accountable to the patient — not just the system. Most of my career has been in nonprofit and mission-driven spaces, because that's where change matters most.

​

That work is what led to Datum Republic — and to coining Intercommability™ as the framework for what trusted, communication-first interoperability actually looks like in practice. This is not abstract work. Every solution we build is grounded in what it means to be a patient navigating complex systems that may not be designed with them in mind.

  • Co-Chair, TIM+ Consensus Body - Co-leading the standards development for Trusted Instant Messaging Plus — the next-generation platform for real-time, identity-proofed clinical communication.
